Sky Vegas Review
Sky Vegas is the online casino service offered by Sky Betting and Gaming, which is one of the most popular gambling companies in the UK. Other services include Sky Bet sports betting, Sky Poker and Sky Bingo. They all bear variations of the Sky broadcasting logo in different colours to identify them as part of the same brand.
In this review we’ll take a look at Sky Vegas, the range of games they offer, usability of the website and mobile app as well as reviewing their welcome bonus and regular promotions.

Welcome Bonus: £10 + 200% up to £1,000
Sky’s welcome bonus is twofold: Firstly, there’s the completely free £10 you are credited on signing up, with no deposit necessary, and then when you do make your first deposit it’s matched at 200% up to £1,000. There is a list of games that you won’t be able to use bonus cash on but it’s only around 25 or so and these are mainly specific slots.
Terms
You should be aware that you will need to make wagers up to the value of 40 times your original deposit and bonus combined so a deposit of £50 gives you a bonus of £100 and a total of £150 which is £6,000 when multiplied by 40. You have 30 days after receiving the bonus to complete this requirement otherwise all bonus money and winnings resulting from it will be lost. The free £10 however only has a one times wagering requirement, which is incredibly generous and a great way to try Sky Vegas out. Note that the 30 day rule still applies.
Other Promotions
Sky Vegas will have several promotions running at any single time and when you click on the promotions page, next to each offer will be listed the time remaining before it expires, making it easy to prioritise the various promotions - they usually last a month or so. Often all you have to do to participate is opt in and then meet the wagering requirements within that time period in order to be entered into a draw to win cash prizes, whilst other promotions reward the highest staking players over a certain period and/or game.
Bonus Cash
Sometimes they’ll also promote a specific game by giving you a certain amount of bonus cash which works only in that game. This is worth taking advantage of but if you have other funds in your account you should be careful to know when the bonus cash runs out and you begin wagering your own money.
Casino Games

Sky Vegas differs from many of its competitors in that all the games are available directly through the website without any need to install additional software. This means you have quick access to over 250 slot games and 25 table games, as well as several variants of blackjack and roulette.
The majority of their slot games are provided by IGT, Novomatic or Barcrest and as mentioned they all operate within the browser using flash or similar. The games are categorised by payline, from 10 to 25 and include many popular titles such as Rainbow Riches, Book of Ra and Pharaoh’s Fortune. They try to cater for both high and low stake gamers by enforcing no minimum stakes on many games and a maximum of up to £500 per line. Many of the games have progressive jackpots which can be viewed in a side bar and regularly tip over the million pound mark. There’s also a tab in the sidebar which takes you to the latest releases which gives you a brief overview of the most recently added games.
The table games are divided into roulette games, card games and dice games, all of which have a range of themes such as Zodiac Roulette and Deal or No Deal Blackjack. Alternatively you can play standard versions of both with a variety of stake options. The range of table games is not quite as extensive as some of their competitors but they certainly have all the basics covered.
All the games are also accessible through the Sky Vegas mobile app, available from the App Store for iOS as well as an Android version. The app is very similar in design to the Sky Bet and Bingo apps and you can use the same login across all of them which is very handy if you already have an account. Integrating all of them into one app could’ve made it even handier but having separate ones avoids clutter, especially on phones or tablets with smaller screens. The app itself has quite limited functionality but it’s clean and works well and like the website is entirely browser based. There’s a separate app for the live casino as well, although the standard Vegas site works exceptionally well simply by accessing it in your mobile browser, with no major benefit to downloading the app.
Another real strength of Sky Vegas is the speed of their cashouts. Once you press withdraw the transfer will be arranged almost instantaneously in almost all cases and they accept payment from Maestro, Mastercard Visa and Paypal. This gives them a slight edge over competitors who have a small waiting period, which we all know just increases the temptation to lose the money in the meantime!
In summary the slot selection at Sky Vegas is very strong and for those who don’t like to have to install extra software they’re the perfect option. The table game selection is the only real weakness and even there they have the basics suitably covered.
Who Are Sky Vegas?
Sky Betting and Gaming was founded around the time BSkyB acquired several smaller telephone and online sports betting companies at the turn of the millennium. This was the beginning of Sky Bet and in 2003 Sky Vegas was launched. Originally it consisted of just three slot style games but has slowly expanded and become a separate entity from the sports betting side. In 2014 Sky sold 80% of the Sky Betting and Gaming brand, including Vegas, to a private equity firm, retaining 20% of the company.
Sky Vegas is licensed by the UK gambling authority and has headquarters in both London and Leeds. Sky has recently launched another online casino simply called Sky Casino, however, this review simply focuses on the original casino, Sky Vegas, which is the more expansive of the two options.
