NetBet Review

NetBet ScreenshotNetBet are an emerging brand in the online sports betting industry. With this, the company have managed to carve out a nice slice of players from around the world. The success has been apparent since they opened their doors in 2006 and whilst it could be argued they aren’t as big a brand as some, they still offer up a great range of sports and markets.

Throughout this review we will be looking at how NetBet have progressed over the years and also allow you to decide for yourself if you feel that they could be your next bookmaker.

Odds & Markets

The pricing structure at NetBet has arguably been one area where the company have struggled over the years. Competition in the industry is fierce and the pricing is often an area where players will decide if they stay at a bookmaker long term. It’s probably fair to say that over the years, NetBet have been guilty of having a reputation for being slightly more ‘tight’ with their pricing than some of their competitors.

But, what’s been impressive about NetBet is that they have clearly realised that this has been an issue and addressed it with a much-improved range of prices. The site had a new design in 2015 and with it seemed to be a fresh approach from NetBet. The markets and bets that we tested on an odds comparison site seemed to highlight that they were much more competitive these days and whilst they weren’t necessarily great, they certainly weren’t terrible either.

The market coverage on offer from NetBet has to be commended and it’s as comprehensive a bookmaker as you are going to find. Football plays a huge part in the make up of the site, which doesn’t come as much of a surprise. They also include a good range of sports outside of football though and consider golf, cricket, rugby, American football and horse racing all to be right up there as their main priority.

The one negative that we found is that outside of football, market and match coverage did vary quite drastically from sport to sport. For example, as you work through to some of the sports advertised towards the bottom of their list, the market coverage almost made us question what the point of offering up that sport is.

Features

NetBet Features Screenshot

Partial Cash Outs

The actually included a really good range of features throughout. We were impressed with the ability to not only cash out your bet, but also take advantage of the cash out slider. The slider means you can essentially partial cash out your bet, leaving some to run and the rest banked; a feature that not all that many bookmakers incorporate yet.

Sports Blog

NetBet include an interesting sports blog as well, which is updated regularly. The blog contains articles from numerous different sports and also has a bit of a betting twist incorporated with each article, which is nice. You aren’t going to get anything ground breaking here, but the rate in which it’s updated means you could potentially use it as a base to get your sports news, although it’s certainly no Sky Sports!

Enter a Pool to Win £20,000

Finally, the Golden Goal was a really nice addition to the site, which allows you to enter a pool to win £20,000. All you need to is select the result of a host of matches that are upcoming and pay your entrance fee. Points are awarded for correct results and you can flick between lists made up from games around the world, including Super, Mini, Mini 2 and Premier League.

Stats by Betradar

Betradar have been powering statistics sections for bookmaker for a number of years now and they’ve quickly grown to be one of the best in the business. The fact that NetBet have now brought them on board shows just how much the bookmaker thinks of them.

The reason behind their success is that they are able to offer a range of stats that are rivalled by very few. They cover a huge range of sports, but with each they are able to back it up with a great range of statistics. They cover football as in depth as any and we think that it’s here where they are really able to shine. Not only are the stats informative, they are targeted towards betting, showing information for potential bets outside of your match result markets and even odds for previous matches.
