Grosvenor Casino Bournemouth

Sitting on a busy shopping street in the middle of Bournemouth, the Grosvenor Casino has recently undergone a renovation which has seen major improvements to the building. With a fantastic new arena for gaming, it’s now a much more enticing place to visit thanks to its 100-seat Poker room, popular restaurant and bar.

Whilst there has been an overall improvement in the gaming environment at the Grosvenor Casino Bournemouth, it’s a shame that the number of slots on offer is still quite low. Two more have recently been added so hopefully they are taking steps in the right direction.

Swap Start/End

  • Opening Hours: The casino is open 24 hours per day, every day of the week
  • Dress Code: Smart casual (no sportswear, vests or work wear)
  • Membership: Available but not required to play
  • Getting There: Both the coach and train station are some distance away from the casino, although the casino is on several bus routes and Bournemouth has plenty of cabs and minicabs available; Car users should use the postcode BH1 2BZ in their sat nav
  • Parking: The casino itself does not offer parking but it is available across the road at the Pavilion Theatre or at the Metro Car Park on Hinton Road behind the casino; Payment is necessary for both these parking options

Casino Games

Like all Grosvenor casinos, you’ll find a good range of gaming here at the Grosvenor Casino. All the usual games are on offer, such as Three Card Poker, Blackjack, Roulette and Electronic Roulette. The staff on hand are all very friendly and we imagine are more than happy to help those new to gaming. There are some slots on offer but despite there being two new ones, the selection is sparse in comparison to some other Grosvenor venues.

The 100-seat Poker room is a great place to play Poker and is very popular depending upon what night of the week you go. There are games of Texas Hold’Em most nights of the week, mostly starting at 8pm – although some start an hour earlier and, on Sunday, the weekly tournament takes place at 2pm.

Loyalty Program

Play the games at the casino and build up points which you can spend in the reward scheme catalogue. If you are a regular at this (or any other Grosvenor casino) then it’s well worth participating in. You can also build up points by playing online.

Food and Drink

You can expect the standard Grosvenor fayre at this casino and, in all honesty, that is no bad thing. There’s a good choice on offer and whilst it may not be the most inspiring range of food, it's freshly cooked and tasty. The bar area is great with a good selection of wine, beer and spirits available. One thing to note, however, is that thanks to its location, Fridays and Saturdays can be a little rowdy, especially if groups of young lads come in to watch the football, boxing or UFC on the bar’s big screens.
