Grosvenor Casino Edinburgh

Formerly known as the Maybury, the Grosvenor Casino Edinburgh is one of the most popular casinos in Edinburgh thanks to its diverse range of offerings. Go during the day and you’ll find it as a place many business people choose to meet thanks to the excellent facilities and free tea and coffee. At night, you’ll find couples and groups checking in to dine at the restaurant. But its as a casino that the Grosvenor is best known for and you can enjoy the usual range of casino games here.

We were originally hoping that we would find the Grosvenor Casino in Edinburgh nestled in the beautiful Old Town part of the city in a beautiful old stone building but sadly this was not to be. It sits on the A902 close to both the Edinburgh Gateway Railway Station and Edinburgh Airport which does make it easily accessible especially with its large car park.

Casino Games

In terms of casino games, you'll find classic games, such as American Roulette, Blackjack and Three Card Poker on offer. We would have liked to have seen a bit more variety in a big city casino but the staff at the casino made up for this with their friendliness and knowledge.

Poker

Poker lovers are well catered for at the Grosvenor Casino Edinburgh and you’ll find that poker tournaments are held six nights per week and there are cash poker game facilities available too on a nightly basis. The Poker tournaments range from £550 guaranteed pot games on Thursdays to a £5k guaranteed prize pot game on the last day of every month.

Loyalty Program

The Grosvenor Casino Edinburgh, as you would expect, is a member of the Play Points scheme where you build up points by spending money at any of the casinos in the Grosvenor group. These can then be exchanged for a wide range of gifts from the Play Points catalogue.

Food and Drink

The restaurant at the casino looked very popular on our visit with a diverse range of clientele. The menu on offer is not the most exciting in the world but for those looking for value, there are a number of special offers and deals on offer. It’s certainly not a la carte Michelin Star dining but the food on offer is good for the prices charged which are reasonable.
